Hey, we’ve been selected as new members of The Kitchn Cabinet! This means we’ll get to try complimentary products this year and share with y’all what we make with them.

First up: our PRUNERONI PIZZA! We used Sunsweet Amaz!n Prunes like they were pepperoni by cutting them into slices and marinating them in a few drops of liquid smoke, soy sauce, kosher salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Justin made a simple pizza crust & we added an arugula-walnut pesto, buffalo mozzarella, bleu cheese, the Amaz!n Prune Pruneroni, fresh arugula, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.

By the way, we really loved these particular prunes. They had an excellent deep flavor and good, supple texture. Now we’re already thinking of other ways to incorporate them into new dishes.
